CPR Accomplishments

• The validation lawsuit and appeals. (read more)

• Most recently, CPR has been concerned about the attempt by San Mateo County to amend the RM (Resource Management) zoning of rural property.

• Worked with La Honda Pescadero Unified School District to secure an agreement from MROSD to reimburse LHPUSD for lost property taxes when MROSD bought within the LHPUSD boundaries.

• CPR has organized Rock with Local Bands fundraisers in La Honda and Half Moon Bay.

• CPR observed the recount at SMC Elections when the city council race was close and in dispute.

• CPR clarified the growth rate proposals for HMB and the Midcoast to refute false assertions

• CPR directors and supporters have attended over 80 public meetings on the coastside and other areas in the county.

• CPR assisted the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors regarding the vision for San Mateo County

• CPR uses the Public Records Act to obtain records from elected officials for public distribution. For example, using these public records CPR was able to identify and alert owners of “substandard” lots and property adjacent to storm drains that have become wetland habitat because of improper city or county maintenance.

• Clarified boundary issues regarding Montara Water and Sanitary District

• And outside San Mateo County, CPR also helped clarify issues regarding the Felton Water Bond processes and boundaries
