11.4 percent pay raise!
An article in the San Jose Mercury News points out that MROSD managers have gotten a substantial pay increase durning what they themselves call time of contintued fiscal constraint.
...last month, the district’s board approved boosting the pay of district General Manager Craig Britton by 11.4 percent, to $165,420, retroactive to March.
By comparison, the board gave the rangers, secretaries and other workers a 2.5 percent raise. The board also approved an 11.1 percent pay hike for the district’s general counsel, Sue Schechtman.
The article goes on to compare Mr Britton’s rate of compensation to those of several other local park managers who are paid in the same range but manage larger parks with more staff. It’s an interesting comparison.
